Epigenomics onderzoek

Ons doel is om over het gehele genoom epigenetische modificaties in kaart te brengen om zo te begrijpen hoe cellen met dezelfde genetische informatie toch kunnen verschillen van elkaar. Daarbij kijken we hoe omgevingsfactoren het DNA instucties geven door deze epigenetische modificaties te beinvloeden en hoe dit bijdraagt aan de ontwikkeling en evolutie van de hersenen het ontstaan van ziektes van de hersenen en kanker.
