Today the Hubrecht Institute has revealed its new visual identity. Following the name change in 2007, the logo, stationery and website have been modernized to reflect the institute’s continuing drive to shift the boundaries of research in the field of developmental biology and stem cell research.
The most elementary shape in developmental biology, a stem cell, has been chosen as the basis for the new visual identity. Various types of dots represent the stem cells and are used as the ‘building blocks’ of the visual identity. In the logo they grow into an abstract form which represents an embryo. To keep the institute recognizable the shape from the previous logo has been retained.
The result is shown on this brand new website.
