Europhosphateses 2009

Jeroen den Hertog organized Europhosphatases 2009, the second EMBO conference in a series of three, focusing on phosphatases in development and disease. The conference took place in Egmond aan Zee on the North Sea shore from 14–18 July, 2009. The conference was attended by 160 participants from 24 countries all over the world. The conference was packed with 64 talks from invited and selected speakers. There were three keynote addresses from Tony Hunter, Tim Hunt and Albert Heck. Overall the conference was a great success and it was heralded by many as "the best europhosphatases meeting to date".
