General Information

The Hubrecht Institute is a research institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). The director of the institute is Prof. Hans Clevers.

The Hubrecht Institute is affiliated with the University Medical Center Utrecht and has close connections with the Utrecht University, e.g. in the Cancer Genomics and Developmental Biology (CGDB) Master's and PhD programs.

The institute is situated at the east side of the city of Utrecht on the university campus called "The Uithof". Most of the university faculties as well as the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) are located at the same site. The Uithof hosts many spots for leisurely pursuits including cafes and bars, the botanical garden and a sports center with tennis courts and indoor accommodations. There is excellent public transport and 2 major motorways (A27 and A28) are only a minute away.
